1) Look in your system tray (where the time is), there will be a icon of a speaker, please click on this (Please do not confuse this with the volume of your speakers, if you hover your mouse over this icon it will say RealTek Sound)
2) Once realtek sound properties has opened up find the option that says sound effects
3) In this tab there will be a option entitled 'karaoke', if your sound is high this may have a high figure on it, change the value to 0
