The stitch length is messed up on my Pfaff 7570. If I change it to about 4.5 then I get about a regular stitch length (2.5). I can't baste, the max stitch length is not long enough
This started after I fixed a pair of jeans for my daughter. I don't know if the heavier material did something to how the presser foot and dual feed interact? I cleaned the bobbin area and also took off the top and my husband cleaned around the gears. My husband is very handy with fixing things but needs help with where to start. If I purchased the service manual would this give instructions for solving this issue?

Perhaps this DIY web site would be helpful. I'm wondering if the feed dogs may did a teensy bit of oil to help them move. (Perhaps use a good quality oil or liquid Tri-Flow Synthetic Lube.)
