The trimmer does not move although charged! So the trimmer head can be slid onto the handle of the beard trimmer. Once it clips in, and I turn on the charge, the device works for at most a minute before dying out. I am guessing the groove where the knob head rotates has come loose or has to be filled with crease. I wish I could post a pic to explain. Anybody had a similar problem?
It sounds like you may need to oil the blades with the clipper oil that is included with the kit when you bought it. The blades will become gummy and sticky after use. The "Wahl oil" provided with the clipper is specially designed to "de-gum" the blades and let them move freely. The knob you speak of only holds it from rotating and should have any affect on run time. The only other possibility is if the rechargable battery is at the end of its life which shouldn't be the problem unless it has been used a great deal.
