The truck does not want to make hot air. Tried 195 theromstat instead of 165, no change. tried cardboard on grill to cover half of radiator, still no heat. Any other suggestions on what problem may be or what else to try

What is your ratio of antifreeze to water, should be 50 to 55 % antifreeze, the stronger you antifreeze is in the mixture, the less heat it will transfer through your heater.
Also, you should flush your heatercore both ways to clean it out, could be that it is partially to mostly stopped up.
