The unit won't cut off even after reaching the set tempature in the room. When I change the setting up or down the number 6 blinks several times before the temperature is displayed. It's like the thermosat is working

If the number 6 blinks 4 times it indicates abnormal operation of the outdoor unit.
the way this system gets feedback from the outside unit is via the thermistor i would start there.
here is a manual it might help you troubleshooting what the problem is with the outside unit.
