The vacuum cleaner is not "picking up or vacuuming dirt, etc." I removed and checked the tube, etc. and it's clear (no blockage). I did notice that residue, etc. is blowing out at the base where the tube connects at the base (small opening ) at the back of base. The roller appears to be working fine. Help!

Things to check.The fan scroll is what the handle tube goes into.Remove the tube and inspect the scroll for a clogg.Also inspect it for a crack,you may want to remove the bottom plate to do so.Look in the roller brush area for the intake hole into the fan it could be clogged there.If the bag inflates you do not have a clogg if it dosent you have a blockage somewhere.if you havent checked remove the bag it can also clogg up right where it attaches to the tube.It sounds from your description that you have a blockage. www.sewvac.com
