It should be safe to keep on driving, but, I would double check and make sure all the fluid levels are where they need to be. And, at your convenience, you may want to stop by a parts store to see if they can help you identify the symbol associated with the red light. Most stores do Not charge for this.

You cannot read a renault with a scanner thats for sure as its not using compatable software ,now it depends on what this red light is for as normally a red light is the oil pressure light so is their any symbol inside the light also if i knew what year and model this vehicle is would assist me no end .But untill i know exactly what this light is for i wouldnt drive the car in case its the oil pressure warning light .
