There is an internal crack in the screen
Just wondering if there is anything I have to worry about. We can still work on the screen because the crack is only about 3 inches long. Do I have to worry about anything leaking...breathing in checmicals, etc?

No fear there, you have likely only cracked the protective glass covering and not the display itself, if the display itself was cracked then you would either lose your video or have a severe distortion in the area of the crack.
So dont sweat it!
