Water leaking into the fridge is a sign of a blocked evaporator drain or an icemaker that is acting up. Either way the first thing you should do is a manual defrosting by placing a fan directing air into the freezer for just over 2 hours. (makes a water mess) You need 2 hours because if the drain tube is iced over at the funnel the water in the funnel insulates the ice for a long time until everything thaws out to open the drain. Open the fiberboard cover in the back of the unit and inspect the end of the compartment drain tube for any signs of gunk. Lint and debris often turn in to muck and then dry over the end of the tube if it is resting in the drip / catch pan. You end up with a blocked evaporator drain over time.
If you are sure that the compartment drain is clear and you note water again your ice-maker can be the source of the excess water. You would note slow ice production or CHUNKS in your ice tray. If your icemaker is acting up most of the time the problem is the inlet water valve bypassing water when it is supposed to be off.
