There is no real way to fix a disc with a crack in it, you will need to recreate the disc, once the media has been cracked it is unrecoverable without very advanced and expensive means

No, unfortunately not. But very often the Distributor of the DVD will replace an official disc for you and you might only have to pay the postage. Find the address of the company that markets and distributes the DVD. You could download a free dvd ripper software and may try to copy some of the contents to the harddrive of a computer and then burn a new copy.
