Thermostat seems ok, but gas won't flow from oven burner
I've checked the resistance on the thermostat and all checks out. There is an electric glow plug-type igniter near the oven burner, which heats up beyond red hot, but no gas seems to be flowing. The symptoms started with the oven taking longer and longer for the burner to ignite - up to 40 minutes once. Finally the burner will not come on even after an hour later after having the thermostat turned to broil. Any help on diagnosis would be appreciated.

Hi, Even tho the ignitor is glowing, it is getting weak and will need replaced. The ignitor is not pulling enough amps to open the gas valve.
This is very common problem with the gas ovens.
