This was just installed. When it is flushed the bowl fills with water and the macerator turns but the waste just sits in the bowl full of water. After about 5 minutes of running, the waste slowly starts to drain but by then th motor stops. The vent pipe is only about 6 inches above the macerating tank. Could this be the problem?

If there is a air emiten valve on vent ? Remove it than try to see if it works properly. If this works you will need pipe vent outside
