I have a Thomas the Train humidifier and there is a little clear plastic round part with a seal that is attached under the top half of the humidifier where you put in the water. Without this part the water would not stay in. A certain amount of water does leak out - I think it's meant to be that way, but not all. The part broke off for some reason, and I was wondering if it is ok to reattach the part with plumbers putty myself, or if there is another solution.
