I've got a Thomson DTH109 DVD player which has worked for about 3 years without a problem. Yesterday the green LED (stand-by) started to flash without any reason, and since then the player does not react to any button. I tried to pull out the Video Cable and later I removed the power plug from the socket and after 10 minutes I connected it again but there was no change. The green LED flashes continuously, the red one remains dark.

What could be the root cause?
