Will seem to self correct for say 20cms if straight stitching but other stitches won't work for more than 1 cm stitching. Have delinted and vacuumed out beneath plate. Bought brand new bobbins and needles. Doesn't matter what kind of fabric and have tried changing tension which I have rarely ever had to do in its previous good running order! .

or the machine needs to be checked for a timing problem
