My computer only work with the Black Serial cable with Ti Connect Device Explorer . Actually have to drag and drop at the highlighted icon in the software. If your computer has upgraded USB the USB cable to calculator and computer might work. Ya! the only thing the graphic software can be used for is to read the program on the computer screen, and nothing to do with connecting the calculator. Just joking, I have had computers it did work on. The Mac has it own USB silverlink cable, and I never had one so I can't say if it would work but, if it is I think you would have to have the USB silverlink cable.

Connect to your computer and turn on the calc.
Drag and drop a file to the TI Connect Icon and it will ask you, eventually, where you want to send the file....It should find your calc.
Make sure you try all the USB port, you might be surprised which ones work.
