timer seems to work normally but no water is pumped in and a motor runs continually throughout cycle, even during drying time. Motor continues to run continuously after end of cycle
CHECK THAT THE WATER IS ON TO THE UNIT, AND IF VOLTAGE IS AT WATER INLET VALVE. IF VOLTAGE THEN WATER SHOULD BE COMING IN EITHER BAD INLET VALVE OF CLOGGED SCREEN IF THERE IS VOLTAGE TO VALVE. NO VOLTAGE THEN CONNECTIONS OR TIMER WOULD BE NEXT.
Hi Richard, it seems like I have the same problem as you did. How do you go about fixing this? Can it be done on your own, or do you have to call someone in? Thanks
Is water getting into the dishwasher? If not then it's the water inlet valve. Around $100 for the part and not terribly difficult to replace (can be done from the front without removing the whole unit).
If there's a lot of water in the pan but it's not circulating then it's likely the main pump impeller. The blades on it break and it eventually stops pumping the water hard enough to work the washer arms. It's a bit more of a hassle to replace as you pretty much have to pull out the dishwasher to get to the main pump. The impeller itself is reasonably priced, around $50.

MUST BE ONE OF THE BETTER DISHWASHER TO HAVE SOME PAN TO CATCH WATER.
