To open Indesit washing machine IWD5123 pump lead
I need to clean pump on my my washing, it is Indesit IWD5123 but can't get the lid off will unscrew but not pull out. The instruction says turn it clockwise which I have done but it turns slighly and cannot turn any further and neither can I pull it, Please help. I have done that on my previous washing machines which are very easy but not this.

It is probably not turning enough to allow it to be removed- maybe because there is crud jamming it. try rotating it back and forth to attempt to free it. You could use gas pliers to add more force to turn it, but be careful not to break it.
It is possible to remove the filter assembly, but it involves disassembling it from the pump internally. Once off, any material can be removed through the pump connection pipe.
