I posted a reply as a testamonial inadvertently, so I am sending more information. In my basement I have a utility sink. Under the sink is a Little Giant sump pump (?) water removal pump(?). I have heard it referred to both ways. It is connected to a pipe through which water is expelled when the water level reaches a certain point in the Little Giant. It is only supposed to be triggered by the water level, and does not run without the water level triggering it. At least that is supposed to be how it works. I had one installed and after 21-23 days, it would start and stop without my using the sink. I thought it might be defective I had another one put in and that did the same thing. So now I unplug it. I want to have it fixed/replaced but need to be more knowledgable otherwise I don't think I will have a proper repair done. I can't leave it unplugged as the other day someone was working in the house, I didn't know they were in the basement, let alone using the sink. Water got all over the floor as it was not plugged in. Any input is greatly appreciated and thank you for your having replied previously.
