Turn down the house water valve. So not so much pressure is going through. If this doesn't help, which I believe it should, then I would take it back or have the water inlet valve on the machine checked to make sure it doesn't have a bad solenoid or other problems.
Hi Thanks for using FixYa. If the dishwasher is overfilling its water-inlet valve issue. This valve is usually at the bottom left or right of the dishwasher, behind the lower access panel. It's the device with the main water line from the house, a rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two wires attached to it. When a water-inlet valve is defective, you may hear the sound that's usually referred to as "water hammer." If the water-inlet valve is defective, you need to completely replace it. If its brand new then it should be replaced completely to avoid future issues. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.
