as it has been in storage, it has been running and any fuel left in the carby over time will cause corrosion or may have water or sediment that has blocked the jet when fuel was let into the bowl they are very basic carbies, with just a float and needle and seat and a main jet ******* up the center use air to blow out all the passages and the jet the fact that you have to use choke to keep it running indicates that it is not getting enough fuel through the main jet without the requirement for extra vacuum from a partially closed chokeas it has been in storage, it has been running and any fuel left in the carby over time will cause corrosion or may have water or sediment that has blocked the jet when fuel was let into the bowl they are very basic carbies, with just a float and needle and seat and a main jet ******* up the center use air to blow out all the passages and the jet the fact that you have to use choke to keep it running indicates that it is not getting enough fuel through the main jet without the requirement for extra vacuum from a partially closed choke
