Took the two green jumpers off-what are they for? Tried finding a board schematic online. no luck. Not sure how to hook them back up. There off now and machine seems to run OK

The jumpers you have taken off might usually be jumpers for clearing the CMOS (think of it as the BIOS settings). This usually not be a problem. You can look for your motherboard's support for "Resetting BIOS". Most of the time, there will be some things involving jumpers.
