Top refrigerator warm bottom is ice cold
Took panel off in freezer compartment and coils with fins were badly frozen than no air was getting pulled up. Manually defrost with hair dryer, put all back together and cleaned coils under fridge that were very dirty. This unit has the electronic temperature board and all codes to all tests ( defrost thermostat, etc) were good. My question is will the top fresh portion of the fridge stop in 3-5 days again or did I soolve the problem?

An automatic defrost time turns the defrost cycle on and off every 24 hours. If problem continues, problem is most likely defective defrost timer.
Even electronically controlled units often have electro-mechanical timers for defrost cycle.
