Either you have a dull needle or there is too much tension on tension discs. Solution would be to dial a lower number in the tension dial or if your dial doesn’t have numbers turn the screw a little to the left until the thread will flow thru without breaking. Or, machine needle is inserted backwards. Or, the needle is terribly done, so replace it.
Try and new needle or sounds like your tension may need adjusting. I keep my tension at number 4, seems to work fine. The bobbin tension may be too tight also.
