Toshiba laptop will not go past logo screen
I have the Toshiba L455D-S5976 from Walmart. It has been fine for 3 months. Last night I could not get to the log on screen. When I turned it on I only got a black screen with the Toshiba logo in small letter at the bottom right of the screen. I tried turning it off and on. I think I hit every button. I cannot find my manual at the moment. Any suggestions?

Try the following steps first:
1 Disconnect the battery and the charger
2 Let it sit for 1-2 minutes.
3 Press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds.
4 Reconnect battery and charger and try to start by pressing the power button.
If it remains same, restart and tap F8.
If you get an menu, select safe mode and press Enter
See if it able to start in safe mode.
