Toyota celica. Battery was dead and was jumped off and the car started. When shut off and turned back on normally press clutch turn keys over then push to start. Instead I only had to push clutch in and turn the keys over to start?.....also when you had the car running pressed clutch as you would to put in a gear it would act like you are trying to start a car again when it is already on not too sure. Anything could help figure it out thanks!

when you said push to start I wanted to make sure this wasn't a newer model with the push button starting-so what you're saying you had to push the clutch down a little extra hard to make it start before and now you don't and in fact when you push in on the clutch when it is already running it engages the starter-
