Transmission fluid leaking from front of transmission as soon as the motor is started. the bell housing cover is missing and the fluid is on the flywheel. I cannot offer more detail at this time. My Granddaughter is in another state and this just happened

That is going to be a front main seal on the transmission if you're sure it's transmission fluid or a rear main seal of the engine if it's engine oil. I put that in here just in case you weren't positive it's transmission fluid. Either way the transmission will have to come out to replace either of those seals.
The transmisssion front pump seal is defective, to replace this the transmission must be removed
