Tried to remove links from invicta model #6716 chronograph. The pin coes out but the links will not separate. the hollow rod seems to still be inide the link preventing it from coming apart. what is the trick to removing the links

Get fine needle and move the hollow tube back and forth till it matches the links. Then you will be able to separate links. Rate me plz.
Once you pop the pin out, you have to remove the outer part of the link (the inner curved part will remain). push the outer edges in toward where your wrist would be. It will separate from the curved, scale looking center piece.
then you can slide the tube out from the center piece, and they will come apart.
