I would first check the power leads connection to the battery, if you can move or wiggle them, then they are to loose and are probable causing a short (if you see sparks on the battery when you try to jump it and cables are attached, they shouldn't be when jumping it, then its a very good sign that its a short. Check the power voltage on the battery, should be 12 volts when truck is off and 13.5 to 14.5 (can be as high as 16) when running, if it starts, I am confused by your description of spinning? It has to be part of your charging system (battery, PCM/Volt. Regulater, Alt. or distributor). If you have excess corrosion on the power lead terminals, clean them with baking soda/water solution to remove and clean it. Check your main fuse? switching batteries should do nothing but reset your computer and clear your saved radio stations? something else happened.
