The idle speed is controlled by the bikes computer, the ECU. The 1500RPM idle is normal. If you purchase a Race ECM from Erik Buell Racing (http://www.erikbuellracing.com) you can get one with a slightly lower idle programming. The bike does not like to idle low, hence the 1500RPM stock idle.
That is fine to run ur idle at tht speed. But if u want to change it. Start ur bike up n get it nice n warm. There will be od big srew on side of ur carb turn it slowly to the idle u want.

This will not work on the Buell 1125R.
