Ensure that the cable is running from AV-Out (not in) on TV to AV-In on camcorder, or the whole thing will not work.
If that is not the problem, try the following:
Turn off TV and camcorder.
Disconnect TV power cord.
Remove and put back camcorder battery.
Start the camcorder.
Connect AV Out on TV to AV in on camera. Some TV does not have AV out.
Connect TV power cord and restart TV with the camcorder attached.
Check if camcorder LCD display is showing the picture.
If that does not work, try switching the camcorder settings between QVGA and VGA, test a different cable, and if possible, test the output from a DVD or a game console.
