Trying to set up the E1000 using a motorola modem - insert disk, follow instruction, then it says you have successfully connected to the router, but you're not connected to the internet, and then windows pops up a box saying I need a driver that it can't find, "insert disk that came with internet access server", I do and it says it can't find the driver go to the internet to get it, but I can't because I'm not connected to the internet. I bypass the router and go to the internet and it won't let me download the driver because it doesn't recognize that I have the hardware (I bypassed it to get to the internet), it tells me to reconnect the hardware, but when I do I lose the internet so I can't do the download. How on earth can I get this thing to work?
You are getting the pop up asking for Internet access server drivers. actually that is a bug in the Cisco connect server. You can uninstall the cisco connect from that computer and reinstall the CD. OR go to the device manager on that computer. Under other devices you will find that internet access server with the yellow exclaimation mark. Right click on it and disable it. You can also setup E1000 router without CD or Cisco connect software. Click here for more information
