Trying to use a microphone but not sure how to hook it up
I just bought a microphone and the only hole that I can put it in is the phone one but someone told me that is only for headphones. Do you know if I can use that imput hole with a converter or something?

"phone" on a reciever or radio means it is for headphones only, there is no converter that will or can change the internal output circuit of a radio , reciever or" phone"( headphone ) output on a output made only for headphones or ( an output circuit into an input circuit )
recievers or radios the have a microphone input will be labled "mic.L" or "mic.R" or just "mic"
No because the mic is a signel in device and the headphone jack is a signal out jack! meaning if you plug the mic into it the mic will act as a speaker and music will come out of it and ruin it!
I would buy an adapter at radio shack and plug it into the phono input on the back of unit! and if you dont have a phono input you will need to buy a small pre-amp and plug it into the aux or tape input!
That will work!
