T.v. connector from cable
I need a connector, mine stripped while taking off and connecting another t.v.
I just moved 3 t.v's around and had no problem connecting the other two, now this one will not go on.
Now, will I have to cut the cable wire and replace with another connector, because this one does not look like it will attach again, I have tried several times here and it looks like it is stripped.

Hello,
Usually, the whole tuner has to be replaced if there is a missing/stripped coax connection. The connector is "pressed" into place on the tuner section at the factory, and it is nearly impossible to replace one and have it stay on. A lot of people try to solder them on (which works for a while), but the high heat that is needed to solder such a large connector to a large surface area is usually a bit too much, endangering the inductors inside.
The solution I suggest is to use one of the "snap-on" plugs. The are thread-less quick-connect plugs that are available at radio shacks, wal-marts, etc. They are very inexpensive, and will save you a lot of grief.

If it is too loose when you put it on, then just gently compress the outside "holder" portion of connector to make it a tighter fit.
Hope this helps you, and saves you some money!
Oh, and they thread onto a regular coax plug on one end, and push onto the back of the TV on the other.
