TV intermittently does not display picture. Back-light and audio are OK
Power cycling the TV a few times results in the picture displaying correctly. The number of power cycles required varies, but is usually between 2-5. Connectors/ribbons have been re-seated to no avail.

If reseating connectors and ribbons (assuming you've cracked the case open yourself and gotten your hands dirty...or atleast scratched up lol) then I would have to say it sounds like an issue with the logic board or maybe a particular component overheating? it sounds tedious but grab yourself a magnifying glass and look at your individual capacitors and resistors for any physical damage especially what I call, "bursting....." where it looks like they're puffed up and popped from the inside.. sometimes a capacitor will blow and not completely lose it's top so it works intermittently the same with resistors in my experience.... hope this helps.
I have tried leaving it off for extended periods of time as well (including a move where it was unplugged for over a week). You seem convinced that it's related to a faulty logic board (main board?). I'm not opposed to buying a replacement part, though everything I read prior to posting seemed to point at the timing control board (but I couldn't find one when I pulled it apart! haha!)
that's my fault. I used the term logic board a bit loosely. I was trying to find a broad way of referring the main and it's connected boards. sometimes it's all one entire main board, othertimes you may have a board for each individual aspect of the device. but a timing control board would make sense, since it does control the timing of various things, such as when it goes into 'sleep mode' if it has the option. it may also have an electrical fault option which may or may not be another board or simple component somewhere. I would only guess that because i have seen them on some higher end desktop servers lately.... however, not finding one in there is a bit worrisome. I'm not sure if you already have access to some diagrams of even better a service manual that would provide better clues to its location but that is one of those... "in a perfect world" if you think it would help feel free to get ahold of me to bounce some ideas and thoughts around to see if we cant find the official end all answer .:D
