TV is showing "No Signal"
TV is showing "no signal." The television is running through a receiver. There is sound coming from receiver but no picture. I'm able to access the menu options on the television but can't figure anything out. There is also a cable box that runs through the receiver. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
Make sure Monitor Out cable is plugged in tv properly because this cable will provide all video sources signal to tv.
If video cable is fine then unplug receiver from wall socket for minute or so, replug back in and turn it On and check picture in tv.
If that does not fix the issue than plug any video source like dvd player directly with tv to confirm picture in tv. If tv shows dvd player picture then receiver video output section got defective for some reason and need to take it in for fix the problem.
Hope these info will help you.
Thanks.
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. Two things that will cause the “No Signal” message to come up are - no data available for closed captioning and a weak signal input. With that being said it seems that your TV is in the Closed Captioning Mode. To turn it off simply bring up the on screen menu and scroll down to the part that says closed captioning and turn this function off! With the closed captioning block displayed and the program being viewed is not sending out closed captioning signals the TV will display, No signal! Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
Thanks

Hi Rylee,
Thank you for your earlier e-mail about my television issue.
I wanted to add that when trying to run a Wii console the same issue occurs where I can hear the sound of the game but still get the "no signal" message. I was running the Wii console last night, stepped away for 5 minutes and when I came back the screen was black and displaying no signal. Could this still be related to a closed captioning issue or do you think it would be something else? Thanks for your assistance. It is very much appreciated.
To start with check the closed captioning, if still the issue is not resolved then check the cables at the back you can also try using component cables. After all this if still the issue is not resolved then it seems to be a bad component inside the TV.
