It might be as simple as the fuse on the doubler board. If you are capable of TV repairs, inside the TV, where the power cable connects to the board, there should be a small glass fuse. Check that to make sure it is not open, if it is, try replacing it with the same amp and voltage, if it pops again, then it is something more serious like a short some where.
