That tv is very common for power supply failures. there will be several bulging vented capacitors on the power board. the capacitors are used for filtering in the power supply so they would smooth out the ouput of the certain switched supply circuit they are part of. easiest way would be to replace the power board otherwise with some minor soldering skills replacing the capacitors is cheaper route. there will be around 5 or 6 vented capacitors on the power board towards the top right coner of the board looking from the back.
The way to fix this failure is to replace 4 capacitors on the power supply. If your LCD has the power supply BN44-00135A in it, check the picture below to find the location and value of the capacitors.
