Ubuntu Sound Problem
Hi guys,
Installed Ubuntu 8.04 now whenever playing sound or video files, on any program, makes weird sounds, anything I do minimizing windows or browse causes these horrible sound problems.
The only way that I found to deal with this is to play the video and audio with all of the other programs closed and not to do anything on the computer at the time, and I still get the occasional weird sound.
This isn't a satisfying solution to the sound problem and I want to listen to music while using my computer, do you have any advice that might help me?

MerryAnn, it sounds like any time your CPU does heavy work, you hear sounds..kinda like a buzzing? I would say off hand you have an open input turned up in the mixer.
Rredbare, do you dual boot? and what audio chip or model do you have?
