UHF PRO Canada: 1707A-DKNFSK03 139779 It used to work fine, then I had to change the batteries and it no longer works. The lights work but nothing happens. I've already tried flipping the tab at the bottom to UHF (I had to do that the first time to get it to work) and inside the battery case, it's set to A. I've tried flipping the tab and switch back and forth also
I realize it was in 2009 that you had the problem. I have/had the same problem and have solved it. Somehow the device address on the remote for the sat receiver got changed. I determined that the remote was working as I had already programmed it to turn the TV on and off. I repeated the process and reprogrammed it to turn the set on and off as outlined in the manual. Next I went to the main remote that controls the receiver and using the menu, got to the system info page and found that the remote address for the second remote was in fact 3. I pressed and held the SAT button on remote 2 until all four lights flashed, I then entered "3" and pressed the # key on the remote. Voila, it now works fine again. This all happened when I too changed the batteries. Hope this helps anyone else reading this post.

The switch that selects what type of remote style (UHF or IR) is probably the culpret.
pull the battery cover and take out the blue tab
Play with the switch unitl it works and put the tab back in (the tab is supposed to select the right value for you but it may not be properly aligned.
i was about to toss mine but this worked.
