Ultegra Flight Deck shifter problem
Hi, I'm having a problem with my Ultegra shifter, it shifts fine up the cluster, but when I shift into the 3 higher gears the shifter does not seem to ratchet allowing it not to shift. I have lubed it, blown compressed air into it with no luck. Any solution?

My guess is the shift cable has slipped, only allowing you the top end of the rachet positions. Drop the shifter to the very lowest cog, make sure the cable is tight, and adjust the tension at the derailleur so that on the first single click it climbs one gear, and isn't noisy there. More tension 9 winding the barel out ) causes it to rise, less, to drop down. It should then hopefully select all the gears, unless the upper stop, the L screw is set too low. This screw stops the derailleur hitting the spokes and going past 1st gear. That shouldn't ever change though.
