I have an astraslim se flatbed scanner iit works fine on my old computer which is windows xp but i cant get it to work with my new computer which is windows vista is ther anything i can do please

I have exact same prob with my astra slim se, tried running the driver in compatability mode for xp and 98 but to no avail. if u find a solution i would be very grateful, i've looked everywhere for a solution!! think i'm just gonna have to buy a new scanner that's vista compatable. thx
