Unable to connect to the internet with a new loptop
I have a USR8054 and works fine with my other two loptops, I bought another one -dell xps1330- vista , picks up an excellent signal but is unable to connect. it says windows cannot connect due to failed to recognize from router or access point. any suggestions.

Check to see if the MACaddress has been registered with the router and then this has to be solved
check the security settings for WEP /WPA
also check to see if you would require DNS Server settings and any proxy to connect
Is your wifi broadcasting non-secured signal? try protecting your wireless network with a password. In your case, it might be caused by incompatible protocol like 802.11 a/b/g and if your encryption method is incompatible with your router.
Setup your encryption to WAP not WAP2 in your router interface (http;//192.168.1.1) and configure your Vista to connect to your network using that encryption.
