Unit no longer heats, and it shakes. It died last night during our concert after only one batch of corn. We have had this unit approximately 2 years, used between September and May, every other week, 3-4 batches per concert

Sound like the heating coil has burned out. If you have an OHM meter you can test it for resistivity. Simpy check both sides or wires on the coil and you should get ah high number on the meter, this is resistivity and it should be high for a good element, bad elements show low to 0 on the reading.
