Unregulated pressure then safety valve releases pouring out steam

My machine seems to overheat and not regulate pressure causing the safety valve to blow steam. I tried resetting but the next time I tried the pressure kept rising past 1.5 without regulating so I turned it off.

Hi there,
It seems to me that your pressure stat which is inside the base of your machine needs replacing. I would try to give it a good descale and if this doesn't do the trick then a new pressure stat is what you need.
