US portastudio 2488: Can it play when connected with a transformer
This item made for US needs a 120V,60Hz currant. If I play it in France, using the 230V,50Hz with a transformer 230v/120V,is it sure that I obtain a good result,(the fréquency is not the same,in the output of the transformer). Thanks,if you can help me ,regards.

The 2488mkII manual specifies that the unit can operate with either 120VAC, 60Hz (USA/Canada), 230VAC, 50Hz (U.K./Europe), 240VAC, 50Hz (Australia) so you should be fine with a transformer which can accomodate 230VAC, 50Hz).
I have actually conversed with people who have been using the 2488 in France without any power problems.

Hi,
Sorry for the confusion ealier. I think I understand what you are asking now.
I'm not in front of my unit and transformer so I can't verify the answer, but typically a device which supports either voltage and has no voltage switch means that the transformer is self-adjusting and you would therefore just use the transformer that came in the box. Usually the transformer will say 240/120 or 230/120 which means it will adjust to either. That's the part I can't verify, but if your transformer says that (or says nothing) then it should be the self adjusting type.
Cheers.
