Used t-35 f
I just purchased a True reach in freezer. When I plugged it in the first time it tripped the GFI receptacle I plugged it into! On further investigation i found the cord had been replaced and had reversed polarity! Then I plugged it in again and it ran but did not move any air across the condeser in the top of the unit!?! I noticed that there doesn't appear to be any thermostat to adjust the temperature... only a timer in the botttom by the compressor! Any one know what I have going on here?

Thermostat for temperature control should be located on the right side of the cooling coil inside. Timer is to start the defrost at preset times according to pegs on the outer dial. Condenser fan motor should come on at the same time as the compressor. Check fan blade for ease of rotation. If it turns hard it can be freed by lubrication. It takes time for the oil to work its way into the unit bearing motor. If there is no oil hole in the top of the fan motor a hole can be drilled in the back cover of the motor at the top. This will give access to the wicking of the bearing for lubrication.
When you stated condenser at the top of the unit were you intending to say cooling coil? If so the fans do not come on until the coil is cold enough.
