This generally means the bag is full, or pores in bag are clogged with fine dust. First, replace bag, Check the afterfilter located under the tool holder on the back top of the machine. If it's dirty, replace or remove. Detach the hose and turn on the vacuum. If it comes on, place hand over intake. If the vacuum continues running, it's an indication there's a clog in the hose. If it shuts off, the most likely problem is the "control valve assembly" (inside the vacuum) that's connected to the dial on top of the vacuum. You can try turning the dial so the large dot is lined up with the arrow. This may or may not help. Try turning vacuum on again. If it still doesn't turn on, the "CVA" is probably worn out and needs replaced. The part can only be purchased at an authorized Aerus store and I highly recommend letting their service person replace/repair it. Using generic bags increases the chances of the CVA wearing out before it should. If the bag doesn't say "Home Solutions" on it, it's not the genuine article.
