Vacuum008.jpg NOTE: this whole thing has been cleaned. Prior to this, the whole inside of the compartment containing the fan motor was filled to the brim with dust. Imagine the most dust that could fit in it, and double that. So yeah, i think the filter failed or something. So basically, i just want to know if it's the wires that are broken, what i could do to replace them if they are, or if it's something else. If anyone needs any more info, please ask. I don't want to buy a whole 'nother vacuum... this one is only about 3 years old
Funny you said that,I went today and bought a bissel at Wal-Mart.Sure hope it lasts longer then the Eureka did.I will probably try to take the other one back to the store if I can find the receipt. Thanks so much.
Kind of hard to say. these are pretty simplistic vacuums. the beater bar is still spinning because it has a seperate motor. the main motor which creates the suction sounds as if it overheated and just gave out. in most cases a replacement motor would cost you 79.99 usd. if the wires are broken make sure first before going any further. take it apart and inspect them and make sure they are on the motor itself correctly. usually eurekas are coded so they only go on one way but im not completly familiar with this unit. so check that and make sure every connecting point is snug and secure.
i would just return it to the store. i says not to return to the store because the company *eureka* then looses its sale. as long as you have your reciept you dont need the box. i would just rturn it and if you ar looking for a small vacuum like this unit may i recommend a
