This is the answer I gave to another user with the same problem I hope this helps....The Fang

• Often when the computer goes into "sleep" mode, the camera may not re-initialize...you can restart and this will do the trick.
  

• Also your keyboard may have a Fn key which is linked to the ESC key that which turns the camera on and off, if your computer has this key try it and see what you get good luck....The Fang

My built-in camera is not working.. when im starting the "easy capture"program, there's a note that says "the camera can not initialize"..
